Thomas A. Bodary 2133 6th St. Bay City, MI 48708 (989) 545-1891 Email: tbodary@gmail.com Work Experience - DP Brown of Saginaw July 2013 – Present IT & ERP Specialist - Soon before I started with
the company DP Brown switched to a new ERP system. One of the ongoing tasks
I’ve had has been to figure out the new system and how to incorporate it into
our business. This has entailed documenting procedures, changing our existing
procedures to work better with the new system, and working with the software
company to communicate issues we needed them to resolve. Where the new system
falls short of our needs I have had to come up with solutions outside the
system which have included custom SQL reports, SQL Queries embedded in Excel
Spreadsheets or custom Java applications. I have also been responsible for
General IT support for both the client computers and our Virtual Windows
Servers and SQL Database. Panel Shop Coordinator – For over a year I was
responsible for the operation of our panel shop. This entailed all
administration between receiving an order and the electricians starting the
build. I developed a process to convert a Bill of Materials from Auto-CAD to
Excel then cross reference the customer part numbers with our part numbers
and generate the bill of materials that we can import directly into our
system. This process greatly simplified and sped up the time it took to
release the jobs. I was also responsible for keeping in close communication
with our customers to meet their deadlines and in communication with the
electricians to keep our schedule as accurate as possible. In addition to the more technical side of my
position I have gained experience in Purchasing, Inside Sales, Accounts
Receivable and Accounts payable. Being a small company I have needed to pitch
in and directly help in these areas but also I have needed to learn them so I
had a thorough understanding of how the ERP system needed to work for these
processes. Estate Preservation Agency March 2007 – July 2013 Insurance Agent During my time as an insurance advisor I specialized
in the Senior Market. My product portfolio included Medicare Supplement, Long
Term Care, Life Insurance, Annuities. I visited my potential clients in their
homes to help them solve any financial need they had by recommending a
company and product for their situation. Kanzen Computers June 2009 – Present Computer Technician/Website Designer Kanzen Computers is my own Small Business. I service
and repair computer systems at people’s homes and businesses. I fix any
hardware or software issues and help my clients purchase and learn about new
technology. I also design websites for small businesses and organizations
using Wordpress. MSX International April 2004 – July 2006 Automotive Catalog Illustration Processor Automotive Catalog Illustrator This position involved me creating the service
illustrations that go into the GM service parts catalog. For every job that I
was assigned I had to first plan out how I was going to lay out the drawing.
Next I had to find all of the parts that needed to be illustrated and create
an exploded view of how they were assembled. After the drawing was completed
I would have to key line each part on the illustration and then create a
legend that showed the description and part number for each component. Logistics Analyst This position involved doing work for a contract MSX
had with GM SPO for their Packaging and Shipping Department. My duties
included downloading math data for individual parts that GM services and
taking measurements for the length, width, and height in the position the
part would be stacked or shipped in. I also was required to research the
parts to find any other information about them, such as the parts weight,
whether it could be stacked or if there were any special requirements for its
shipping. I voluntarily left MSX International in July of
2006. My main reason for leaving was twofold. I had grown tired of the
politics of GM, they were constantly making our job harder for no practical
reason other than to attempt to justify sending our work to India. My second
reason was that I had excelled at my position but saw little to no room for
advancement. Duperon Corp. March 2000 to December
2002

Highlights - During my time at DP Brown I was able to learn a
huge amount about database management and setting up and maintaining medium
sized networks, Windows Servers, VMware and Veeam Backup Environments. Some
of my projects included migrating an installation of SBS 2011, creating SQL
reports in various ways, organizing and manipulating huge amounts of data
using SQL Server, Access and Excel and writing Macros in excel to automate
our processes. The process I created for the panel shop coordinator positions
is now simple and bullet proof enough that anyone in the company can do the
job. At the Estate Preservation Agency I was able to use
some of my Excel knowledge to create a quoting database for the agents to
use. Instead of carrying rate sheets of the 20+ companies that we represent
the agents are now able to have an Excel file on their computer or access the
same database by the web where they can input the client’s age, zip code and
it shows them all of the companies rates. Companies subscribe to similar
commercially available services and pay thousands of dollars per month. During my time at MSX international I took on the
project of automating as much of our job as I could. This involved working
with Macros, which are simple programs I wrote, to read, edit and write data
between Microsoft Excel and the Telnet program General Motors used. One of
these projects was so successful that I transformed a job that took 30 hours
a month into one that was done automatically with the push of a button. At Duperon Corp the majority of my work was done in
AutoCAD but I also had the opportunity to explore some of the 3D CAD programs
that had come on the market. I ended up doing one very lengthy design project
entirely in 3D in a program called Think3. Education - ● Vassar High School - Graduated 2002, High
School Diploma ● Tuscola Technology Center – Graduated 2002,
